Programs and Services

There are no easy solutions to the complicated problems we face; there is no erasing the traumatic experiences that have brought them to us. However, there is always hope when a community comes together and is united in supporting traumatic adverse responses.

At Phoenix Community Services, we strive to be a place where what seems unattainable can become a reality. We deliver a wide range of programming and services that cater to young people, adults, and families to help foster healing, resilience, and a transformation of the mind. Our skilled, multidisciplinary team helps different populations work toward creative and innovative solutions that allow them to address the challenges and distress they face.

Browse the following pages for a more in depth look at our programs and services:

  • Safe Haven

Within this service, our primary concern is insuring that we provide a safe overnight space for those in the homeless transition. While some may argue that homelessness is a choice, it is rarely ever that simple. Our doors will open at 8:30pm on a nightly basis starting December 1, 2024. As we begin by supporting 10 individuals on a nightly basis, security will be strictly enforced as the safety of staff, those seeking support, and community members will be our top priority.

  • Social Entrepreneurship

Through a Social Entrepreneurship model, PCS provides haircuts for humanity on a donation basis, has authors who create self-help books, and provides an array of services to the community in hopes to implement solutions to social, cultural and community issues. Through training and employment, those engaged with PCS will grow financially, mentally, and spiritually as the weak become strong again. Please contact us for more information via phone or e-mail

  • Friendship Centre

As a friendship centre, it is the goal of PCS to fill the gap for those within the community that have no one else to turn to. It is our duty to represent God for we may be the only version of Him that people see in their lives. Therefore, providing Addictions Counseling, Group Therapy for men 18-40, a Warming Shelter as needed and supporting those who need proper identification will show that we care. Please contact us via e-mail or phone for more information.

  • Community Building

The age of technology is progressing before our very eyes. So much so that it is safe to say that we are living in the future. The purpose of our Community Building program is to provide other avenues for our young people to remain engaged in positive activities and programs rather than negative ones after school. Through relationship building we seek to develop self-esteem, problem solving, goal setting and much more. PCS will also host weekly game and rec nights on Saturdays starting at 6pm.

  • Worship Services

Worship offered by Phoenix Community Services seeks to return our Youth and Young Adults back to the basics of it all. Due to the peril of prosperity, we don’t believe in God anymore and it shows. As we gather together on Friday evenings from 6pm-8pm, our focus will be love, power, and having a sound mind. All ages are welcomed to attend and fellowship as we serve refreshments at the end of every service. If you feel impressed, a free will offering will also be collected to support our Safe Haven & Friendship Centre.

  • Speaking Engagements

In an attempt to break down the barriers and stigmas attached to the topic of Mental Health within the community, Phoenix Community Services provides options for professional individuals to speak on topics of Mental Health, Community Building, Togetherness, Team Work, Burnout etc. Please contact us for more details
